The main source of energy for cats is high-quality protein of animal origin, which is why 78% of the protein contained in this dry food is of animal and insect origin. We have added a touch of insect protein to the dry food. Insects are a natural food for cats, because as predators attuned by their instincts, cats like to catch, for example, buzzing flies and other insects. The insect protein in the dry food comes from black soldier fly larvae, which are known to be an easily digestible and highly nutrient-rich source of protein. Their use in pet food also supports sustainable development, for example, because the production of larvae causes little emissions and the larvae can eat a wide variety of biomass. The insects used in the preparation of the dry food originate in the Netherlands.
